This year, as we celebrate ten years of Project Place’s signature event, we are kicking it up a notch! The 10th Annual Brunch will feature new music, exciting and unique silent auction items, and the same goal of raising funds to help Project Place’s critical programs and services.
We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Steven Tolman, President of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO and former Massachusetts State Senator will be our first Heart of Gold Award recipient this year, honoring his life-long commitment to public service and advocacy for those in need.

On February 12, Project Place hosted our Ninth Annual Valentine Gospel Brunch at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers. David Brown, reporter and meteorologist, returned to emcee the event, which featured Jerome Kyles and the Morning Star Baptist Church Choir, a video produced by Mike Lee and directed by Rick DeGregorio, an auction led by John Terrio of Auction Knights, and Rachel Gomes, Project Place alumna and former Partners-At-Work award recipient.
Honored guests Mayor and Mrs. Menino joined Jody Trail of Jody Trail Designs and Barry DeCosta of Wells & Fox, who chaired this year’s festivities. Guests, auction item donors, bidders, and sponsors raised $160,000 to support Project Place job-training and housing programs for homeless men and women. Thanks to all for sharing in this heart-warming morning of music, community of fun!
