Project Place's 35th Annual
Meeting and Partners-at-Work Awards
The Reverend Professor Peter J. Gomes, nationally renowned
lecturer, noted author, and one of Project Places founders,
captivated the audience at our 35th Annual Meeting on June
19th with his eloquent historical narrative of Project Place.
In sharing his personal perspective, Reverend Gomes commented
that if Project Place hadn't come along, it would've had to
have been invented. His reflections on our past and present
programming were humerous, insightful, and validated our community
presence.
The event also allowed us the opportunity to express our appreciation
to corporate, foundation and community supporters for their
generosity and commitment to our mission. Whether helping
us market our events or providing clients with professional
makeovers to boost their confidence, our partners at work
are key to the energy that is Project Place.
We also were proud to recognize one of our client graduates,
Askar Sharapi, for his perseverance in his efforts to re-establish
an independent life. Truly inspirational!
