GateHouse, the future home of Project Place, retail restaurant space and 14 units of affordable housing for homeless men and women, is a natural extension of Project Place's mission and work to combat homelessness. Since 1967 when first founded, the agency has remained true to its roots of innovative responses to complex social problems. Through rigorous evaluation of programming, a focus on positive, meaningful outcomes, the engagement of a steadfast community of supporters and an entrepreneurial spirit, Project Place is finding permanent solutions that support the integrity and worth of each individual that we work with. GateHouse is a model for growth, stabilization and self sufficiency, not only for our clients but for Project Place as an organization. Having built a solid foundation of programs to support life changes, affordable housing is the next logical step in a continuum of services for homeless adults. |
