gatehouse

"We are thrilled to be constucting a new facility on an historic corner in the
South End, once a gateway for immigrants coming to Boston looking to start
a life full of possibility. With the creation of Project Place GateHouse, there will
be a building on this site transforming lives by again offering
hope and opportunity to a population in need."

— Suzanne Kenney, Project Place Executive Director

GateHouse, the future home of Project Place, retail restaurant space and 14 units of affordable housing for homeless men and women, is a natural extension of Project Place's mission and work to combat homelessness.

Since 1967 when first founded, the agency has remained true to its roots of innovative responses to complex social problems. Through rigorous evaluation of programming, a focus on positive, meaningful outcomes, the engagement of a steadfast community of supporters and an entrepreneurial spirit, Project Place is finding permanent solutions that support the integrity and worth of each individual that we work with. GateHouse is a model for growth, stabilization and self sufficiency, not only for our clients but for Project Place as an organization.

Having built a solid foundation of programs to support life changes, affordable housing is the next logical step in a continuum of services for homeless adults.

Our Goal:
$2.5 Million
Our Current Total:
